Not quite Whistler on a Friday

Up at the Onion we found some decent skiing and sledding in sheltered areas that hadn't been affected by the sun and wind on previous days. We found the same persistent weak layer that is prevalent across the region down 20 to 40cm. In some areas it seemed well bonded but in others it was still weak. We felt one whumpf below treeline at around 1550m. Digging down we confirmed the collapse had been on the weak layer.
