North facing snow was cold and dry with a layer under the new snow of year round sun cupped snow above 2200m. Wind affect was visible on all aspects and snow quality was best on ENE aspects. We saw 1 large natural slab avalanche on a distant wind loaded feature. Best guess is 50cm's deep and about 100m wide on a hanging snow field. Wind deposited snow over 1 meter deep and sharks everywhere else. Broke trail the whole way to Stanley Mitchell hut so hopefully we did a good job!
