Rock Solid ... ish

We were in the Pine Pass for the first time this season so we started the ride with several quick snowpack tests to verify conditions. At Treeline we found a solid snowpack. Last weekend's 15cm of storm snow was bonding well to the melt-freeze crust below. That crust was 10cm thick and end easily supported sleds. With that information we felt comfortable riding into bigger terrain. Open creek holes and low visibility were the main hazards today.
