Touchy Alpine Log Cabin

After checking the visibility and conditions at Feather (both was bad), we decided to try Log Cabin.
It was cold (-15c at the parking) but there was no wind. The sky had broken clouds so the light was good.
The snow in the treeline zone was amazing. Deep light powder. After the cut line, you're already traveling in variable snow condition, mostly wind affected and wind slab snow. It was possible to find soft snow in sheltered area (like the gullies).
Around 1300m, we experienced hollow sounds when travelling. We decided to dig a pit to really know what's going on:
ECTP20 (SP) down 60 on FC
*When the block slid, it broke into multiple layers (see photo).
Aspect: North
Slope Angle: 30 degrees
Around 1400, it started snowing.
