We had good visibility in the Seaton area today once the low-level cloud burned off. We saw some loose wet avalanches out of steep, sun-affected slopes, which likely released on the weekend. We also saw a good amount of high marks and ski tracks from previous groups in very steep terrain. None of these triggered any recent slab avalanches. This gave us confidence to ride some steep, alpine slopes.
The riding was mediocre to okay – anywhere from 2 to 10 cm of soft snow that sits on hard surfaces.
