Purcell Layers

Steep slopes were very reactive to skier load. Had a big crack propagate across a small start zone when entering a steep chute. Was failing down 40cm on a crust layer. HS was 150cm to 200cm in spots at higher elevations with as little as 40-50 down to valley bottom. Saw evidence of a recent natural size 1.5 to 2 in the area we were skiing. Going to be dialling things back in the next little while with a close eye on this reactive layer.
