Rain gauge observations from today: the day was a bit warmer -7 at 2000m there was moderate Southwest winds that made it feel a bit cooler.
There is 145cm at tree line, with a weak layer of surface hoar and facets down 65 cm. We continue to get results in snowpack tests on this layer. Today we had an ECTP (27) down 65 cm on sz 5 SH)
The snowpack is a bit more consolidated here (compared to our Elkford trip yesterday) but it is still weak and sugary from the cold temperatures
