Skied some N faces around Fraser/Bryant lake. No whumpfing, no natural activity. Negative results on ski cuts. No noticeable slab formation. Snow was deep, consistent, but bottomless enough that you were often through the whole snowpack! Height of Snow (HS) 60-90cms where probed. Uniform fist density, sitting on facets and a degrading crust. Sled quality Good, Ski quality OK. Early season hazards abound - creeks aren't frozen, rocks are covered by low density snow, snow collapses easily around barely buried trees.
