Stay low for good snow

After a stormy day yesterday that brought in 15 cm snow in White Pass, the wind let up for a bit this afternoon. We sledded up to Bryant Lake and found nice powder riding but the visibility limited travel. Recent wind has stripped high ground and ridges, and redistributed snow. Snow depth is highly variable, we probed 60 cm in some places and up to 150cm in others around tree line. We stayed clear of overhead hazard and gave a wide berth to cross loaded gullies. We found the best riding in sheltered areas at low elevation.
