Went for an easy tour up burstal pass this morning to take advantage of the nice weather and good snow. Skied a short northeast-facing slope at treeline on the skiers left of the pass. Had a quick look at the snowpack and it was surprisingly well consolidated and still quite deep, so we skied pow on top of a supportive base. We also didnt notice any instability on the way up.
Left the car at 7:50am and got back around 1pm. It was -18 at the start and +4 when we finished. The snow on the aspect we skied started to get heavier around 10:40ish which prompted us to head back down. All in all a beautiful day!
