<p>Low land snow, and approach options are quickly dwindling. With no overnight freeze, the snow was very wet, and unsupportive. We also saw a lot of ground water on the move, eating at the already thin snowpack from beneath.
We’re into the “Wet loose”, and possible “wet slab” avalanche time of the season. Timing, and good overnight freezes will be the secret to success and safety on bigger objectives moving forward.
