A nice January day at White Pass

Consistently Mod/Strong N winds transporting significant snow even at treeline. Temperature ranged from -8 to -6 (1300-1500).
Didn't venture into alpine start zones, but crossloading of treeline gully features evident, small lee test slopes revealed a stiffening windslab which would minimally propagate cracks, but no activity beyond that.
Evidence of old sz 1 debris on one South/SW face at 1100m.
Nicest I've seen the pass in November ever (4 years isn't a huge data sample), better than a few Januarys, though!. Very much early season conditions, but excellent coverage considering the time of year. Just a brief recon, but TL terrain is skiing well where coverage permits.
Side note - the Fraser 'up track' was busy, and without Log Cabin (still a Parks Canada closure in effect) this will turn into a choke point for a lot of intermediate users and sledders, especially in low vis.
