The top 20 cm of snow turned from dry to moist by midday. The snow sat above a moist crust. Heard a lot of avalanche activity up the valley around 2 pm (presumably loose wet) and found the top 20 cm was very reactive to skiing on any steep slope, producing slow moving loose wet avalanches than ran long distances and entrained a lot of snow above the crust.
