Ice - Rogans Gully

Approach:
Well packed trail but a little icy in isolated spots.
Conditions:
Nice. Took good pro and tool swings were generally easy with minor fracturing. That could get worse later this week with a prolonged cold snap. Definitely a nice experience in the sun with light breezes.
Snow:
Bulletin looked like a green brick. At least three parties on Cascade. Two parties and a soloer on Rogans with another party TRing some ice below Rogans first pitch. Lots of avi debris visible on Cascade. The gully on Rogans has made most of the middle section a snow slog on fairly significant avi debris. The chockstone pitches are barely visible and little more than a walk. The top out was all debris continuing above the climb although higher looked a little flatter so could be wind slab. I also noted that higher up looked bare in places having been wind scoured I'd guess. I'm sure there's still plenty around though and it may have a sun crust waiting as an interface for the next snowfall. Some pinwheeling visible above the climb. Pic above the climb attached.

Weather Report

A cold day but warm in the sun. Chilly in the shady sections. Lught breezes or calm throughout the morning and early afternoon.
Weather Conditions
