French Haig Robertson (attempt)

Full whiteout after blue skies during the approach. Then by the time we get back to the lot, it’s fully clear again. Travel was very good on old tracks, and thank god some put the skin track back in on the summer trail rather then the ‘suffer slippers’ trail through the trees that was there in January.
We came back down French hand-railing the moraine, vis was less 50m. The amount of snow that fell was impressive today, approx 5 cm at the parking lot, probably around 15-30 with wind affect at French-Haig, suspect quite the hazard until it bonds with the melt crust. 0/2 on the year, don’t think I can convince myself for a third attempt.
If you come off the track below treeline, the crust was not super supportive and easily break down into the lower layers. Only dignity harmed on this attempt at passing
