Quick tour to see what the rain did to the snowpack in this area... Found that either FL stayed surprisingly low, or it rained surprisingly little here. Skied better than expected.
HS varies from about 80cm at 1600m, up to about 120-150cm at 2000m. Up to 2000m the snow surface is DF's with 2x P crusts in the top 5cm. Snowpack is moist throughout.
A few test results:
E facing slope @ ~1950m, HS 100cm, ECTP24 and CTH23(SC) down 80cm on FCxr 1-2mm immediately above an old melt freeze crust - several other crusts exist above this. This profile is attached as an image.
N facing slope @ ~2000m, HS 120cm, ECTP23 down 78 on FC 1-2mm below what appears to be the Oct 31 crust, CTM19(SP) down 70 on SHxr 1-3mm and ECTN17 down 35 on a layer of graupel. General snowpack structure is similar to E facing pit.
