Multiple point releases on steep aspects
NO Major avalanches observed Size 1.5 +
Upper snowpack has similar composition in the Pine PAss: It consists of Melt Freeze crust that refreezes then melts during the day. 40cm down from the surface is an ice crust that is thick and is gradually melting as well.
Foot pen varied depending on aspect ( at times 5cm and other times 100cm!)
Isothermal snowpack is happening below 1400M
Spring/Winter snow can be found up in Alpine/Treeline however be wary of cornices and the fact that there are persistent weaknesses lingering deep in the snowpack as well! </p>
