<p>Returned to the microwave today hoping for dry snow higher up but found a rain crust up to about 1500m (must have rained high overnight). Observed a few new natural avalanches that were larger than those reported yesterday, but on the same steep north east aspect slope (see pic).</p>

Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.

30cm + of new snow, or significant drifting, or rain in the last 48 hours.
