Wet surface snow in direct sun on southern aspects by 10.30am. Shaded areas of snow consisted of mostly a mixture of lightly sun-cupped, crusty and freeze-thaw making for variable and generally poor skiing. No signs of instability at this time of day.

Snow conditions were: Crusty, Heavy, Hard. Weather conditions were: Warm, Sunny. We rode: Open trees. We avoided: Sunny slopes. Riding quality was ok.
