Clemina Creek

curtis, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Still warm alpine temps but dry surface snow in alp. -4 alp temp at 1200hrs. Average upper treeline snow depths 165cms. Mid nov crust down 65cms and stubborn to break during testing. Very solid snowpack. Massive surface hoar growth between 16-1800m up to 60mm. Sh is still present in upper treeline/alp to 5mm. No avalanche activity noticed. Solar was not as strong today but evidence from the last couple of days shows significant sz1 loose snow slides in steep, rock solar terrain. Id be careful with the warming and be suspect of the nov crust in shallow terrain. Ride safe! Frozen Pirate
