<p>Island Alpine Guides AST field day within mount Washington boundary on west ridge of little washy. We avoided all avalanche terrain. Moderate to strong SE-SW winds sustained through day. Ski penetration 75cm. Snowing heavily throughout day. Shooting cracks observed. No avalanches witnessed, limited observations due to visibility. Compression tests showed easy results down 20cm progressive collapse. Moderate results down 70 resistive planar. And hard results down 93cm resistive planar on freezing rain crust. Snow was too deep to enjoy riding at lower angles. </p>

Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
