Avalanchy Crest

10 cm of fresh snow on the skin track. Up to 20 cm deep 1F windslab in the lower Avalanche Crest Bowl got us worried about the last slope ascent to reach the crest but very little loading over yesterday's skin track on that aspect. Some wind affect on the last 50 meters to the top of our run near 2200m. SZ 1.5 10-20 cm deep x 10-15 m wide soft slab (mostly 4F but up to 1F) on facets x 100m long snowboarder controlled at the very top of the run with 5m+ shooting cracks, SW aspect 2200m. Slab got less dense/less propagation with less wind affect as we got further down but soft 15-20 cm soft slabs could be cut on steep unsupported features all the way down to the highway. -19 C when we left the parking lot, -9 C at the top of our run and -12 C when we got back to the car.
