Lovett scout loop

Lovely day on Lovett. First tour of the session. It was more of a hike as there was very limited coverage. 5-10cm below treeline and parking. 15-25cm of settled snow at treeline. Maybe 30-40cm in the most loaded area. It actually looked unsafe to attempt turns. Windswept and rocky in the alpine. It looks like you could start and avalanche in isolated areas in Alpine and treeline but there is a lot of ground showing still. Temperature warmed up to around 0 creating some moist snow in selected areas. Above tree line appeared to stay cold. 2 moose on the way up and 4 Moose on the drive down. Heads up as those beautiful large animals really love to stand on the road and blend into the surrounding forest
