A tour around the Northern aspects of Bluey mountain today. Generally fairly wind scoured in the Alpine, with gullies and lee features holding snow that has been on the move.
Compression Test produced consistent Easy results, 10 cm down on a week layer. No propagation observed in following ECT test. We also noted a CTH, down 80cm, sudden planar. This layer did produce propagation, ECTH, SP.
Note worthy of the area were 4, size 2, recent avalanches, that we expect we’re this weekends past Storm cycle. Mature, cracked off timber and debris were found at the end of the run outs, which had crossed the access road.
