Black Prince area

Feb 3 crust somewhat breakable at 2300m and solid BTL makes for difficult skinning on steep slopes. Ski crampons helpful. HS 107 at 2100m NW aspect BTL on sheltered slope 30 degrees. For historical reference, in December 2021 this same location was HS 155. CTN on the Dec 5 melt freeze crust @ 40 to 45cms above ground (ie down 65cms) Mid pack between the Feb 3 and Dec 5 crusts is a mix of 4F and 1F facets that are surprisingly supportive b/c of the warm end of January? Not a lot of rounding happening on this polar aspect. Several recent solar triggered Na size 1 point releases from steep rocks in ALP. Temps were -8 in the shade at 2300m at 2pm. However, above zero in the sun.
