Dug quick pit near treeline. 32 cm storm snow on top of 1 cm hard supportive crust from the major thaw. Storm snow is poorly bonded, and gave easy compression and shear tests. Snow below crust is strong with no obvious weak layers. Hs 135 to 180 cm, variable due to drifting. Didn't dig to ground to look for basal facet layer. Some cornice collapses on ridge lines due to windloading.
