At treeline bad skiing on variable powder, breakable and unbreakable crust. Below, amazing skiing in deep powder.
Snow conditions were: Deep powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cold, Stormy. We rode: Dense trees, Open trees. Riding quality was good.
At treeline in the open breakable and unbreakable crust top 10-20cm. Skied the uptrack, at treeline in open trees variable with heavy sluffing powder (40cm crown, 4m wide, ran for 6m) and chunks of crust. Below treeline hand shear tests failed 40cm down.
