Surface Hoar + Faceting Continues

Sea to Sky

I talked about this on Monday but wanted to bring it up again because it's only developed further since then and will likely be a significant problem when it gets buried this weekend. There is widespread surface hoar in Shannon Basin in more or less all areas except wind-scoured ones. Attached photo is from ridge-top; these crystals were melting a bit in the sun, but shaded areas have bigger crystals that don't seem to be going anywhere. Let's hope the next storm comes in windy I guess.
