HS 80-120cm at ridge top. Found surprisingly well bonded storm snow on a dense, well settled basal snowpack. Skiing quality was much better than expected. No instabilities felt or observed. Winds picked up significantly at ~2:00pm from the N. significant wind deposits on Southerly aspects.
Snow conditions were: Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Cold. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Dense trees, Steep slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Convex slopes. Riding quality was good.
Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours.
