Snow conditions were: Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cold, Windy. We rode: Alpine slopes. Riding quality was terrible.


1st skier skied slope. Second skier triggered avalanche on second turn near bottom of slope.


Reverse wind loaded slope. 20-50 cm crown. Propagated 80 m across slope. Debris chunks up to 75 cm across. First photo 2 other slides in Crater Lake bowl within 15 minutes. 1 skier triggered below avalanche described here. Second remote triggered by hiking trail down to lake (some debris blocks >1x1 m; second photo).
