Up around suicide bluffs training a SAR dog. Did not dig a pit but made some observations. About 30cm of light powder on top of a more solid and slippery base. Seemed to be bonding ok as we couldn't get anything to move from jumping on little rolls. (Just minor powder sluffing). One old avy observed on west facing 45-ish degree slope, from a distance could have been a 40+cm crown but from a day or two ago since it was starting to get filled in.
On top of the bluffs where it was rather windy, a lot of wind transport was occurring and a wind slab was forming. No wind in the trees though.

Avalanche Conditions
30cm + of new snow, or significant drifting, or rain in the last 48 hours.
