Stronger than forecast winds today blowing from the west. Great riding conditions on slopes unaffected by the wind. Snow was very dense and stiff. Did a pass up to lightning strike and found a sheltered 30 degree slope. Skied a shorter steeper angle slope on the cliffy side. Observed some small releases at the very peak of lightning strike. Finished up with a pass down the east side of baldy. More concerning snow on that slope that was very slabby and had small isolated pockets releasing below us at times.

Snow conditions were: Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Cold, Windy. We rode: Dense trees, Open trees, Steep slopes. We avoided: Alpine slopes, Convex slopes. Riding quality was good.

Very strong winds at ridgetop, gusting in the strong range at times.
