Sea to Sky

We took an interesting winter route from Whistler RV park, towards Brew Hut. Fresh snow everywhere, but up to 1100m there was a nasty ice layer around 20-40cm below the surface. This layer was not very supportive and we saw some minor shooting and cracking around 1100m: on our way down in the same area we didn't notice anything worth mentioning... Anything higher than 1100m had 40-50 cm fresh pow on top of consolidated snow, very stable. The ridge itself was sculpted by the wind big time. The hut was in good shape from the outside.

Snow conditions were: Deep powder, Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Stormy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Convex slopes. Riding quality was amazing.
