Hankin Wind

We went to the Hankin backcountry ski area today to have a look around. The ridge at Hankin historically gets a lot of wind and today was a prime example of the last few days of moderate winds. Lots of cornice growth, wind loading and wind slab development. Surprisingly we only saw one older(24-48 hr) wind slab avalanche, size 1. We chose our line carefully dodging the wind slab on the ridge and skied a conservative line in good snow.
