Purple Knob Front Chutes

Good day on Purple Knob's slidepaths, just enough snow coverage to make turns enjoyable with only one shot to the skis from a hard carve up higher. Felt like snow was mostly loose above the ground with some compaction to support your skiis but no slab to speak of, and suprisingly no real sign of facets- just heavy-ish powder. Still really cold out but no wind kept things manageable. Buddy's bindings were a bit misadjusted and he forgot the torx screwdriver so he freeheeled all the way down better than a scandanavian telemarker. No instabilities of note but we didnt venture into the alpine, so take with a grain of salt. Much better skiing here than Engadine yesterday.
