Fraser chutes

Drew Lyness, Sunday 8th December, 2019 7:40PM

Powder conditions on Sunday just about held up for the weekend warriors who’d slept in Saturday. Not much to add to yesterday’s observations, other than a significant warming trend saw temps hover around zero all day. The top 5cm of surface snow was just starting to slab up around midday around tree-line on sheltered slopes - 4F. No avalanches or collapsing to report. Wind nil in the morning, light after noon. Skiied to around 1400m and encountered wind effect at that elevation. Ski quality very good tree line and below. Still unconsolidated and bottomless approaching through the trees and up the creek.
