Triangle Moraine

Slightly settled snow from the last storm earlier in the week and general sheltering from the wind events skiing on N/NE aspects made for very good skiing on the Triangle Moraine today. One column test returned a CTH25 BRK down 35cm on a faceted interface. Surface snow was still reactive returning a CTE1 SP approximately 8cm deep sitting on top of the cold snap layer but is showing signs of settling/bonding as no heavy sluffs were observed like previous days this week. It will be interesting to see how this interface progresses as the depth of this layer increases. The new storm was rolling in as we left for the day. This can be expected to settle rapidly and become reactive with the warming trend forecasted over the next few days.
