Snowline started at 400m, although the road was drivable up to 1100m. when we left the road at 1400m, HS was 15cm and was mostly rain crust, by the time we got to 1600m there was 50cm of dry powder with no discernable layers in it aside from a 3cm thick rain crust on the surface. we continued touring up to 1800m and found the HS to be 90cm, with a 3cm rain crust on the surface and a thin windslab at 30cm. This slab was unreactive to our tests. it will be interesting to watch this rain crust over the next month and see if it developed into a PWL.
