Blow down hoedown

Great day up Blowdown Peak guided by our friends at the Ministry of Transportation. We encountered similar conditions to our foray at Cayoosh, but climbed high enough to have a bit longer descent in 5 - 10 cm of light powder on the crust. Is the cold starting to facet the top of the crust to offer a bit more forgiving edging? We kinda think so. We noticed small chunks of wind slab would crack away from our skis as we moved down the summit ridge. Nothing too threatening but could be an issue in more committing terrain.
