Cornice Rd (Fri) and Evening Rd (Sat)

On friday, we observed a small skier triggered soft slab avalanche size 1 (see picture). Overall, very limited wind effect made for good skiing conditions: 30-35 cm on the unbreakable crust. On Sat, went to Evening ridge where we found significantly less snow on top of the crust at the same elevation , making for less great ski conditions. Wind did not actualize which was great to enjoy the walk in the sun. We observed widespread surface hoar growth (see picture)
