Quick Observation
Skied on the mighty Mt Joan. Strong SE winds all day combined with previous north winds stripped most open treeline and alpine slopes of any low density snow, leaving variably supportive crusts on most aspects skied today. New windslab development observed in north Lee features at ridge top, and we experienced one skier accidental size 1 (20cm deep slab, 10m wide x 25m long). Slab was triggered from base of slope (toe-trigger). No involvement.
