Quick Observation
Had an amazing day doing mellow laps in Rudis south. The snow was deep (20-40cm ski pen) and a little bit heavy, it made breaking trail difficult at times but the ride down was as good as it gets. It was not wind affected at all where we were, but more exposed areas looked to be very wind affected and even scoured. We had a few whumphs on our way up and saw signs of recent (today) natural avalanches on the Molars and Wisdom Tooth. I had a close call with a deep hole behind a rock, the new snow was just enough to make it invisible but not supportive to my weight, and I dropped right in. Feet first thankfully, and it was an easy climb out. But it's a reminder that we're still in a low snow year and there's tons of rocks and holes and little trees and other hazards out there, only now with the recent snow you might not be able to see them.
