David’s Peak - McMurdo Cabin

Conditions changed quickly as the day warmed up, we made our exit.

Very warm temperatures on April 6&7. All faces below 2200m were loaded with water wet surface snow and more so on sun exposed aspects. Sun exposed aspects saw rollers forming and building to the size of a car tire before crumbling. Was near freezing and snowing as we left McMurdo cabin morning of April 8. Around the cabin there was a hard crust a couple cm thick.
