Snowpack over crust layer from last rain variable from 5cm to 100cm depending on wind affect and aspect. Open areas are crusty but smooth and skiable if necessary. Slopes in the trees or in the Lee of NW winds are heavily loaded. Density increases deeper in the snow pack.
No consistent failure. Some slight surface wind slab failure at 15-20cm depth. Snow density was 4 fingers and failed at transition to fist. Snowpack was extremely stable and consistent. Thin wind loading on wind/rain crust could be reactive to man made triggers. These transactions should be avoided.
