Quick Observation

**Weather was warmer and more cloudy than forecast. The sun briefly made it through but soon disappeared. Very light flurries got heavier around 1pm. **First pitch looked good following a corner right of a ramp. It was steeper than it looked however and had a lot of onion skins and snice making it a tough climb. A belay was established in a protected hole below a mushroom wall. Good screws were possible but needed some digging. **Second pitch I moved right through deep snow then up towards some blue clear ice. That clear ice was solid and climbed great. The top out into the slot canyon was awkward then gets easier. We exited the canyon on the obvious ice on climbers right. **Warning. The tall pillar just right of the main falls is fractured at the top so we avoided it. It looked inviting except for the fracture and chance of it falling.

Weather

-5c when we left the car and -1c when we returned. Broken cloud with the sun trying to break through low cloud in the morning changed to light snow moving into the afternoon.
