AST Course - Bald Hills

AST 1 course at Bald Hills. No new avalanches observed. No signs of instability. Intense blowing snow at ridgetop.

Minimal snowfall and longer than expected solar input brought pleasant weather conditions in the field today. Intense blowing snow at ALP, ridgetop features promoted sublimation. Temperatures remained below freezing with the warmest recorded temp. as -6C at the TH at 17:00. AM temp was -14C.

2x CTM 12 (RP) down 18 on FC ECTN 12 down 18 on FC Slope test also produced a similar result on this layer--something we will be tracking after the incoming storm. 15-20cm of F-4F faceted snow overlies Feb 01 layer. Rest of snowpack is weak and faceted with DH at the bottom. Average HS 105cm @ TL.
