Observation

Skied two laps on Observation Peak, looker's left of Bow Pass in the slight tree triangle feature below the false summit. Went to high treeline/low alpine and found only 50cm HS. Oct crust was 3-4cm off ground with wet facets under it. Nov crust was 10-15cm below powder surface snow. Between we found a supportive mid pack of what I think was rounding facets (did not have snow study stuff to have a good look). The skiing was good but still variable, two members of our group hit a sizeable rock just below the surface. For the most part the Nov crust and the mid pack kept ski pen low. Skiing in and out the main drainage was good for mid November.
