Chickadee Valley

South facing slopes in chickadee valley. Weird variable snowpack with sugary snow underneath a thick solar crust and about a foot of fresh on top. Crust felt pretty stable up to the very top of the treeline where it started to fail under our skintrack. Lots of wind high up that we could see throughout the day, but fairly calm in the trees. Mix of sun and cloud but really started to get warm around 130 when the sun was out relatively continuously. Noticed some sloughs off the north faces in the valley but no major activity.
