Crust makes us crusty

Went to sled...but the crust made it no fun. So we skied...after a couple hundred metres climbing with ski crampons on breakable crust we decided that digging a hole would be more fun. We found graupel over the rain crust that has bonded quite well for the moment and a well settled mid pack below that. Due to the continued winds the crust is down 0 or 20 cm. This crust isn't currently a concern for us, as far as an avalanche problem, but it could well become a layer of concern going forward. We'll be watching the weather as this layer becomes buried to see if it becomes a bed surface to watch.
