Halcyon Gully

Good news/bad news report: Lots of fresh powder (10-30 cm), and not wind-F'ed yet. The most aggressive whumpfing I've ever heard and experienced. There were dozens of little whumpfs on the tour up, and when straying from the trees they became so intense that on two occasions the branches slightly rattled on nearby spruce trees. I turned around and skied down shortly after that. This latest dump seems to be sticking well to the crust layer directly beneath it; however, there's a persistent multiple layered shit-sandwich beneath it all, that's weak in several locations indicated by all the deep, loud, whumpfing.
